Health Update

Today was the day...

I went into the V.A. for a needle biopsy, which went smoothly...

It will be about one week until I get results. The scan that accompanies the biopsy showed three bumps, which could be calcium deposits, or tumors. One can only wait and see.

In the mean time, live today, for tomorrow.......

In my estimation, you have lived an interesting life that has spanned 67 years of huge changes in the world as well as just in the USA. Accomplishments totally aside, you are an exceptional human being who is unique. At rare moments we see clearly enough to discern the invaluable character of individual human beings; like snowflakes, none of us have been created exactly alike. In these days of cloning, mass-production, and globalization, that is something worth remembering. "Special" is a word not only for Olympics and education--we must recover its meaning for each other. I count myself blessed to have been a continuing part of your life, Dad.
