Athol City Clerk Retires

After 24 years of holding the city of Athol together with her expertise, city clerk Charlotte Hooper is retiring. In a one person office, she has ran the food bank, acted as water department,Building, planning & zoning, and every other department that in a larger city would be separate duties. A retirement party to be held this Saturday, June 27 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm will be held at the Athol community Center.

Taking on the awesome job of filling Charlotte's shoes is two year resident, Sally Hansen. Sally has had a varied career with assisting in an attorney's office, hazmat control, mentoring developmentally disabled children while caring for husband Chuck and four boys. Chuck is working for the Lakeland school district.

We understand that Charlotte will be continuing in her role as food bank director, for the immediate future. Everyone is invited to the party, whether or not you live in Athol.
