Today's news from Bayview, includes two incidents relating to Waterford Park Homes, LLC and the five pup llc's. First was the approach of Ralph Jones, Bayview Chamber Fund Raising Chairman for the Bayview Daze Activities to Tina Arendt, Business Manager for the Waterford Park Marinas. In the past, all five business gave freely to the fund, knowing that benefit accrued to all. Jones tells us that when asked what amount Waterford Park Marina would be pledging, he was told emphatically that it would be none. Since children read this column, we won't quote the exact language, but it was reported to be emphatic and profane.
What makes this so very strange, is that Waterford Park Marina has sent out a newsletter strongly implying heavy participation. Apparently, with the controversy surrounding the activities of these businesses, Waterford Park has decided to shun the entire community, which of course, only makes it official, since they haven't exactly been great citizens in the first place.
This of course suggests that no business relationship will continue between Holland's enterprises and the surrounding community. We say fine! It works both ways, Baby ... It would appear while tourists will still visit these establishments, it is likely that a community wide boycott will ensue. Oh, and Happy Fourth of July to the rest of you.

Herb,
I was actually planning on making reservations at the Buttonhook this weekend but the hypocrisy demonstrated by Waterford in not contributing to the fireworks fund in Bayview while using it to promote his businesses makes me believe in those people who say, "Bob Holland is here to just use Bayview and cares little about making a positive contribution to this community". What professionalism Mrs. Arendt displays always astounds me.
You deleted my comment concering Jim Brady, however it seems that your ethics are not beyond publishing attacks on Bob Holland. Once again Herb, while your source may seem to you impeccable, is once again incorrect.
Bayview is a beautiful peaceful town but it seems the axe you have to grind with Waterford has turned the beauty of Bayview into something very ugly.
What a shame.
Maybe it is time to get my own sandbox.
Don't forget Tina likes to get drunk, drive around in the company boat, and crash into to other peoples boats, then flee the scene of the crime too!
Maybe they should make the announcement at the Parade to let everyone know that Bob Holland and his business contribute NOTHING to the fireworks show.
Let the tourist know and they won't go to any of his businesses either.
Actually, he really doesn't offer anything for services anyway so it easy to avoid spending any money at his places.
First, there will be no community disputes aired from the reviewing stand Saturday.
To reply to the Anonymous person that first personally attacked Jim Brady a few days ago, yes I deleted that comment. When I, in my own judgement decide that an attack is unwarrented, and more personal than professional, I will delete it. As I pointed out then, It's my sandbox. If this person wished to come out from under the rock, and start their own blog, they can spout whatever they want. Had this person identified themselves by name, and I was able to verify their statements with them, I would have published.
Anonymous personal insults are an abomination. When I atttack a person it is for what they have done. The difference is that I sign my name to everything I write.
If the person objecting doesn't see the difference, I invite them to not read my blog. As to the "Ax I have to Grind," again, this is not a personal grudge. It is, as Tina says, "Just Business." When and if Waterford Park Marina cleans up their act, things will calm down automatically. Until management quits embarrassing themselves by dumb remarks, we won't quit publicizing them.
Hey Herb, Can you do some research with the Idaho Dept of Lands and get a copy of the leases that Bob Holland has?
I am sure he is in violation of at least one or more items in those leases.
It would be nice to know, so we can petiton the state not to renew his marina leases.
Imagine a Bob Free Bayview!
Hey Herb, Can you do some research and get a copy of Bob Holland's marina leases with the Dept of Lands?
I am sure he is in violation of one or more terms of his lease.
I think his leases should not be renewed and if he is in violation maybe the taxpayer of Idaho can have his leases revoked!
Imagine a Bob Free Bayview!
In answer to the above comment, I don't have that info, but I'm sure that the Chamber of Commerce Standing Committee has it. If you aren't a member, contact Ralph Jones at 683-2218. He can steer you to the folks that are keeping score.
Maybe Bob Holland can't afford to donate to the fireworks fund. He was fined $2500 for killing 1.4 million dollars worth of fish in the lake you know.
Plus, he is being sued by many people who have purchased "property" from him in the past.
Maybe he is too poor now?
ISN'T IT A VERY SAD SITUATION IN BAYVIEW, WHEN THIS MAN, WHO IS TOUTING TO "IMPROVE" OUR COMMUNITY, CAN'T EVEN PARTICIPATE IN OUR YEARLY BAYVIEW DAZE FIREWORK DISPLAY.
OUR BEAUTIFUL TOWN HAS BECOME A BATTLEGROUND, THRU NO FAULT OF THE RESIDENTS HERE. MAYBE HOLLAND DOESN'T CARE, AS HE DOES NOT LIVE HERE, AND SEEMS TO HAVE NO INTEREST IN THE TOWN BESIDES IT'S ABILITY TO FUND HIM. BUT, MANY OF HIS EMPLOYEES HAVE RESIDED HERE FOR YEARS....SHAME ON THEM!
