Re-Unretirement

Loafing is good, but it doesn't pay very well. I have become restless in retirement and have decided that although my body is old, my brain probably hasn't atrophied much.

Some of you know that prior to retirement, I had a career in Mortgage Banking. I have been cajoled out of retirement and will re-enter the lending field. I will specialize in SBA business loan packaging and placement.

I'm looking forward to working with some of you as the need arises.

Herb...this time around, make sure you really enjoy what you do. Life is short. Do whatever makes you happy, whether working, traveling, whatever. I haven't worked now for a year, and I don't miss it AT ALL.

Working would be okay, if you didn't have to go all the time. Hope this makes you happy. Yoda!

Herb, that is fabulous. What bank? Where can I find you?

I failed to say that I will be an independant contractor available to all banks and borrowers.

"...an independant contractor available to all banks and borrowers."

We of the federal law enforcement persuasion used to call them "loan sharks."

I'm just kidding, Herb. Congratulations on being well enough to get back into the fray.

A CORNY DEAL

I need a SBA loan so I can start a hot buttered corn stand down by Hagadones.

I figure it won't take much. I would broker a deal with Simplot for the corn.

Any city permits might be negotiated through Mike Kennedy. I voted for him.

Jbelle could be my accountant.

I might be able to get the Mennonites for the butter.

I want to call it "ALL EARS."

Hurry - write it up! I get 75% and you can have 25%.

I doubt that there is even a kernal of truth in Stebijo's application for a loan, but in keeping with self-preservation, I will not refuse this well deserved applicant even if buttered up first.

I am serious Herb! I can find a grill to put out 500 ears of corn a day!

Okay - you can have another ear of corn. You get 26% and I will take 74%.

If you are serious. e-mail me at hhuseland@aol.com & include your phone number.

I smell a deal in the works...

But do I really want to sell corn?

I want to be an internet marketer -- convince me that I want to sell corn. Can I hire somebody to do it for me?

I need a really nice HUMMER to pull the corn roaster. Will SBA provide me that? Then I could set it up at Ski resorts in the winter.

Bay Views said...

I could use a really nice Hummer too...

Nice double entendre, Herb!

Nice What? Sorry, Bill, I don't speak french.
