After Effects

As they say, "you can't make an omelet without breaking eggs". This is also true when using radiation as a cancer treatment.

The collateral damage, as they would say in military circles occurs when radioactivity reaches healthy tissue and damages or destroys it.

I'm told I can expect to feel very lethargic for three to four weeks. This may be due to the 5 times I had to get up last night. That's bound to cause sleep deprivation.

Oh well, being lazy is something I'm pretty good at anyway...

I'm still working at the park, handling uniform turn-in and inventory, but should be free to loaf by the end of next week. I just hope I can hold out that long. I may not feel very creative for awhile, but keep checking the blog. I'll try to write something, if for no other reason than to let everyone know I'm alright...

Hanging in there, Herb!

Just take good care of yourself, Herb.... we will keep checking but don't worry about us... we know you will be back in rare form in a couple weeks ....telling us as it is.

Hey,

Take it easy, big guy! Lethargic is not bad. Remember, I was lethargic for 26 years with the federal government. Refined lethargicism (as Dubya would say) to an art, if I do say so myself. See, with you, it took what, sixty-some ionizing zappers to slow you down. You never woulda made it as a fed...too much git up 'n go. Get your health back so you can make the rest of us feel guilty.

I'm rootin' for ya, Herb. Maybe this is nature's way of tellin' ya to slow down a bit. As far as blogging goes, you now have some excellent subject material at your fingertips, namely, what all you're going thru. But if nothing else, just let us know you're OK...
